Osnia Hunt Namibia is situated in the north east of Namibia near Waterberg Plato Park, which is well known for its rich indigenous game variety of which the eland is most popular. Osnia was bought by the Gildenhuys family in the 1930's and was used for traditional cattle farming ever since. In 1983 the family started trophy hunting which make it one of the oldest hunting farms in Namibia.

Osnia Hunt Namibia is part of the Ngarangombe Conservancy where the utilization and hunting of game is strictly monitored. This enables us to hunt only for very good trophies. No high fences are erected in the hunting area which make the hunting more difficult but more interesting and ethical.

Osnia Hunt Namibia itself is approximately 40 000 ha. The hunting area in the conservancy is approximately 260 000 ha which make it a hunter's paradise. Game available is from the smallest antelope called Duiker and Steenbok to Warthog of which we have a big population. Game like Kudu, Oryx and the very interesting Hartebeest is also available. The biggest antelope in the region is the Eland weighing up to approximately 1000 kg. Osnia Hunt Namibia is situated in an area well known for its biggest population of Cape Eland in its natural environment.

We are also in the process of introducing game such as Blesbok and Blue Wildebeest to the area. Hunting on other game species can also be arranged on neighboring farms The hunting season in Namibia is from 1st of February until 30 November. The best time for hunt in Namibia is from May until September during our wintertime when the bush is dry, temperatures are low and no rain occur. The night temperatures vary to as low as 0 'C and day temperatures up to 20'C.

Hunting game such as Jackal, Lynx and Cheetah is also allowed. Osnia Hunt Namibia has a large number of Leopard, which is very difficult to hunt, but always a possibility.

Accommodation on Osnia consists of 3 double rooms each with its own bathroom. Laundry is done on a regular basis.

Everybody is welcome at Osnia. While you are busy hunting everything at home is taken care of like the cleaning of the Trophy, your meals and your laundry. Women and Children are also welcome.
