Importing your own rifle to Namibia is no problem as long as you bring all the relevant documentation along. We prefer that you use the largest caliber that is available, because of the size of our game and the thick bush - starting at the 3006, 300 win mag up to 9,3x62/64 and if possible a 375 magnum. (50 cartridges should be more than enough)
We hunt by walking in the bush on fresh game tracks, which can be very interesting and also give you the opportunity to test your tracking skills in the African bush. We also make use hides at waterhole's for game such as warthog. Hunting at night is not allowed in Namibia.
It is very important to wear good camouflage and strong durable clothes for hunting by foot. Make sure you have a good pair of boots.Warm clothes for chilly evenings and mornings is a must. Hunting equipment such as knifes, rifles, binoculars and cameras are important. Sunglasses, Hats and a good sunscreen will also be necessary.
